I've attached the most recent one in hopes that it provides someone else more edification than I've had. 7 I have about a dozen of logs mostly identical to the one below modulo the time at which they occurred. Interestingly, the spontaneous reboots only started occurring after I updated my motherboard firmware to the latest version (as the version that comes with the Gigabyte GA-m790XT-U4DP doesn't recognize Phenom II x4s by default, and sets their frequency to 800Mhz rather than the 3.2Ghz the chip is supposed to be running at).

I've updated the motherboard firmware and drivers, video card drivers, and integrated sound / ethernet drivers in an attempt to fix this problem, which has so far been fruitless. The error seems to happen more frequently when exercising the 3D hardware (e.g. I have been having a similar issue with my newly constructed computer, and I would be very curious if there has been a solution fleshed out.

I had to reinstall the DVD drivers driver for it to give me my CD back, but thats not really related to this I guess. Well, I had another one this afternoon when I was burning Win7 64bit, it failed and just rebooted, my DVD drive freaked out and started spinning continuously, plus it wouldnt even eject.

I already noticed a weird stutter, where the system would just freeze a second every 10 seconds, for a couple of minutes, it stopped, and another couple of minutes later it crashed. Installed a few apps and 1 game, 1 video card driver for my x1950 which isnt supported anymore by AMD on Win 7, and thats it. And I just got a spontaneous reboot after only some browsing/downloading, nothing harsh on the system. I installed Win 7 32bit on a clean system yesterday. įor me this happens always when i re-awake the PC by giggling the mouse.I notice that the screen goes haywire for a split second and then the BSOD appears.

I get the exact same thing on my new Gateway Core i7, X58 chipset 64 bit Win7. One other thought to try involves running SFC /SCANNOW from an elevated CMD prompt. Sure, but not officially provided by Microsoft for the "general public". It does not mean that a problem will not exist. Unfortunately, all that really means is that diagnostics were not able to find a problem. And, the drivers are of course different. The Netbook Remix may not exercise all of the functionality of all of the devices the same way that Windows does. as I've written before with ubuntu netbook remix the pc works very well, the problem of restarting appear only in windows 7, so I don't think there is a physical hardware problem If the system has multiple RAM chips, it seems you could at least attempt to isolate them. I cannot eliminate hardware because the PC is a Toshiba Netbook In the interest of trying to get some indication as to what step in the initial setup / configuration process this occurs, I'd suggest not installing the updated drivers.
